Deze albums hielden me bezig, de afgelopen anderhalf jaar. Hier een chronologisch overzicht. Tegenwoordig meer en meer into jazz uit de ’60s, soul uit de 70s, ambient uit Japan en de muziekgeschiedenis van Brazilië. Clube da Esquina, een wonderlijk dubbellaar uit 1972, is mijn ontdekking van het jaar. De eerste keer dat ik die hoorde, in de straten van Florence, ga ik niet meer vergeten. Mijn favoriete plaat van 2021 heet Promises, een album door Floating Points en Pharoah Sanders. Magie ✨
